One of the best state parks in NJ, Allaire State Park should be on your list. The park highlights include:
Historic Allaire Village, a living history museum that features restored homes, shops, and a working iron furnace. You can even take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage or watch demonstrations of blacksmithing, glassblowing, and other traditional crafts.
