THE INN
The Opal & Pearl, formerly Tandem Bike Inn Bed & Breakfast, is a boutique inn in Belmar, NJ, completely renovated with a fresh, modern coastal design while preserving the character of the original 1889 property. Guests enjoy a 24-hour coffee and tea bar, complimentary parking, an outdoor shower for beach days, and a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs.
Select rooms feature fireplaces and genuine Jacuzzi® tubs, including two-person whirlpool tubs and Jacuzzi® tub-and-shower combinations. Ideal for couples and travelers seeking a relaxed Jersey Shore escape with personal hospitality.

Meet Cord & Dedra
Family-owned and personally operated by Cord and Dedra Weiss, The Opal & Pearl reflects their shared love of Belmar and the Jersey Shore. After taking stewardship of the longtime Tandem Bike Inn, a beloved Belmar B&B, they reimagined the property into a modern boutique inn while preserving the welcoming spirit guests have known for years.
Creativity is a big part of their lives beyond the inn. Dedra designs and handcrafts beaded purses, while Cord is a musician and owner of Stargazer Productions, a live band entertainment company. Together with their daughters, Clover Pearl and Nova Opal, they bring a personal, family-centered approach to The Opal & Pearl.
Cord and Dedra remain closely involved in the day-to-day experience, from caring for the property to helping guests make the most of their time in Belmar. Because they live onsite, assistance is nearby when needed while guests can still enjoy the privacy and ease of their own visit.
